Australia’s Leading Couple Join Piggy
Two of Australia’s most well respected actors, Steve Le Marquand and Pippa Grandison (Husband and Wife Duo) have joined the cast and crew of Piggy. Not only will they both take on Associate Producer roles in the film but have also taken on two of the main characters as well.
Pippa Grandison has been in the film industry for over 30 years, first appearing on Australian Television in the series “A Country Practice” and then made a name for herself on the show “E-Street”, playing Melanie Howard. Pippa then went on to be a house hold name on the huge hit “Muriels Wedding”, playing Toni Collete’s friend Nicole. Pippa then dedicated a lot of her time to Musical theatre playing leading roles in musicals “The Witches of Eastwick, We will Rock you, Company and Georgy Girl”. We are incredibly thrilled to have Pippa join us as part of our cast in the film Piggy and also an Associate Producer on the film.
Steve Le Marquand is actually one of my favourite Australian Actors. He has a face that the camera truly loves. A truly Australian Character through and through. Steve has been in the film industry nearly as long as his Wife, Actor/Singer Pippa Grandison has. First starting out on Police Rescue and then going on to starring roles on films such as “Last Train to Freyo”, “Broke” and Kriv Stenders “Red Dog: True Blue”. I have loved Steve in so many films and Tv shows that it is such a huge thrill to have him involved in Piggy as not only one of the leading cast but as an Associate Producer as well.
I can’t wait for our younger cast involved to have the opportunity of playing opposite these two Australian legendary performers.
